Grief Walk October 1, 8, 15, 22, and 29.
Walk with us. We meet at our office (5415-49 Ave., lower level) on Wednesdays at 9:30 a.m. After the walk around the lake, as you are able, everyone can contribute to the conversation while having a cup of coffee or tea.

Adult Support Group Oct. 6 to Nov. 24 (6:30 to 8:30 p.m.)

Who: Those who are 18+ and dealing with a lost through death of someone.
When: Oct. 6 to Nov. 24 every Monday from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.
What will you learn: - Understand the facets of grief. - Recognize the grief journey is different for every single person - Additional resource to use in comping with grief.
Intro. to Grief - October 23 (10:00 a.m. to noon).
This two-hour session is limited to 4 or 5 people. Learn about the beginnings of grieving and mourning, along with reactions and more. After this session, each person's case will be assessed to see how we can serve you through this time. This step is recommended. Contact the office to register or to ask related questions.
Come walk with us. We walk around the local recreation centre's track. After that we will come together to have a cup of coffee, tea, and conversation. We begin on Wednesdays at 9:30 a.m.

Palliative Care Training for the Community and District by AHPCA Nov. 14 - 15 (8:00 a.m. to 4:45 p.m.)
FOR VOLUNTEERS, CAREGIVERS & COMMUNITY MEMBERS
This no cost, two-day, in-person training follows the Canadian Hospice Palliative Care Association Training Program which is recognized across Canada. It will give volunteers, caregivers and interested community members the confidence to provide quality support services in any setting, whether that is in hospice, care centres or a private home.
